The Northamptonshire
Baha'i Choir

[Choir Details][How To Join The Choir][How To Book The Choir]

Who Is In The Choir?

The choir began in March 1999 with six members, and now has swelled to around twenty in total. We have members from a range of cultural, racial and religious backgrounds, united by a love for singing. So far, we have had members from Persia (Iran), Africa, America, Slovakia, Russia, France and the UK.

What Do You Sing?

The music that the choir performs is reflective of the group's diversity and so African songs sit alongside songs in Arabic and English, with many of the songs being written or arranged for the choir by members of the group.

Where Do You Sing?

As well as singing at Baha'i events, the choir perform at many other multi-cultural, United Nations and inter-faith events. The choir is keen to be involved in any event that promotes the idea of World Citizenship, the oneness of mankind and that help to eliminate any form of prejudice and promote respect for our precious planet.

Can I Join?

The choir is led by local composer and musician Richard Leigh (click here for Richard's website), who would like to invite and encourage people of all ages, religions and cultures to come and share in the spirit of the choir, whether to sing or even just to listen! Membership is free and no audition is required.
